Kieran Tierney Celtic transfer return 'long shot' as Arsenal hold all the cards
Kieran Tierney may have opened the door on a return to Celtic - but Neil Lennon reckons a deal is highly unlikely.
It was reported earlier this week that Tierney, 26, would consider a return to his boyhood heroes this summer after falling out of favour at Arsenal. The Hoops diehard left Parkhead for the Emirates in 2019 for a Scottish record £25million but has lost his position to Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Tierney's £120,000-per-week wage packet would be a major stumbling block for Celtic but the Scottish champions could possibly reach a compromise over his salary by stumping up a significant fee to land him on a season-long loan.
Whether Arsenal want to sell or loan him is another thing. There are a lot of variables that come into this. One other thing is that Kieran would need to weigh up whether it's the right move for his career at this point in time. It's interesting.
