Ajax defender Jurrien Timber has been identified as someone who can strengthen the backline, with the Gunners' leaky defence in the final stretch of the season one of the biggest reasons for them finishing behind City. The north London outfit are progressing in their hope of signing Timber after an opening bid of £30million was turned down last week. A second bid has since been submitted by Arsenal, football.london understands, with personal terms on a deal to 2028 already agreed with the player.
